Kanata South Link

To ease congestion, improve safety and functionality of the road network, we provided Contract Administration for Kanata South Link involving widening and upgrading roadways. Due to the widening, construction included four new wetland cells within Stoney Swamp Wetland.

Stock Yards Village

To determine the reasons for the concrete sidewalk deficiencies at Stock Yards Village, we provided Geotechnical Investigation services. Upon RioCan’s request, we prepared the restoration specifications and carried out contract administration, inspection and testing for the new sidewalks.

Kalso Gardens Housing Co-op

Constructed circa 1990, Kalso Gardens Housing Co-op required replacement of existing vinyl cladding, existing windows and patio/balcony sliding doors. We coordinated the permit application, design and specification package, project management and quality assurance reviews.

Sysco Tannis Facility

Sysco Canada Inc.’s Tannis Facility underwent an expansion including a 129,000 sq.ft. warehouse expansion & 16,000 sq.ft. two-storey office addition. We provided civil engineering and planning services including site plan control, minor variance, stormwater management and grading and servicing.

Identifying transportation-related issues and opportunities are key for planning. In downtown Leamington, we are performing a traffic study including traffic operations analysis, traffic planning and long-range transportation solutions for traffic concerns for all modes of travel.

Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge

The Bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge was constructed in 1967 and requires major repairs staged over several years. We are providing Construction Administration services including guidance/direction to ensure the bridge construction is executed to meet quality and safety requirements.

620 Martin Grove, Toronto on

In order to protect and restore the balcony slabs at 620 Martin Grove, Toronto, we provided Building Restoration services including concrete repairs to the balcony slabs, sealant replacement and application of waterproofing coating.

Calabogie Generating Station

Calabogie Generating Station’s new redevelopment will replace the original powerhouse with a higher capacity powerhouse. Our Geotechnical Lab is completing a Semi-adiabatic Curing Test with Heat Loss Compensation for Evaluation of Adiabatic Temperature Rise of Concrete.

Old Ottawa South

Replacement of aged infrastructure was required in a Ottawa neighbourhood. As Prime Consultant we designed a cross ride and pedestrian signal improving safety and traffic, and identified and removed a legacy environmental issue before it impacted the surrounding environment.

Amazon Distribution Centre

We provided Structural Engineering for the 2.7M sq.ft. Amazon distribution centre in Ottawa. The largest of its kind in Canada, the size of approximately 170 NHL Hockey rinks, the five-level industrial building features advanced sortation robotics.

1132 Bay Street, Toronto on

The high-rise at 1132 Bay St, Toronto required repairs to the Existing Brick Exterior Finish System. We performed Building Restoration services including brick replacements, architectural brick accents, tuckpointing, control joints, shelf angle replacement and thru-wall flashing.

Modular Thermal Project for Enhanced Oil Recovery

To improve production from heavy oil wells that may be in isolated or stranded pools our mechanical, process and electrical engineers collaborated to produce a fit for purpose facility. The design balanced capital prudence, modularization and factors for operational reliability.

Northern Ontario Abandoned Mine Characterization and Rehabilitation Plan

We coordinated a high-profile Tailings Characterization and Remedial Action Plan (RAP) at a former gold mine in Northern Ontario. This involved advancing over 200 boreholes, wells and test pits to create 3D conceptual site plans. The resulting RAP will promote community health.

Highway 537 Jumbo Creek Culvert

Reconstruction was required for Hwy 537 as water flowing through Jumbo Creek would overtop the road in the spring. We provided Project Management for the detailed design rehabilitation of 1km and culvert replacement. Nesting facilities were installed to mitigate loss of habitat.

Highway 60 Rehabilitation, Dwight on

Highway 60 in Dwight required 14.8km of pavement reconstruction, treatment of distress areas and culvert replacements. Paved shoulders were added for local bicycle users. We provided detail design services and support during construction, including environmental management.
