Between December 2nd and 5th, our staff pushed past their physical capabilities and took part in the Stand Up for Kids Holiday Bike Challenge in support of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada.
Teams and individuals participated from the comfort of their own homes, at the gym, or outdoors despite the weather, all to raise funds for children, youth, and families in the child welfare system.
The Stand Up for Kids Holiday Bike Challenge has become an annual event with more and more participants every year. In its 2nd year, over four days, 100 participants biked 150+ hours and cycled more than 4,000 kilometers collectively.

Our corporate team was comprised of 15 cyclists, including some individual registrants, cycling a total distance of ~900km, a total time of ~2175 minutes, raising $13,465.
Overall, the event was a huge success raising $110,764 to support Canada’s most vulnerable children and youth, ultimately smashing the bike challenge goal by 325%! The money raised from the event will allow children, youth, and families at risk to access the critical supports they need during the holiday season to experience a sense of well-being and stability, and resources year-round to transform their prospects for a brighter future.
Stand Up for Kids is Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada’s national campaign for child welfare which aims to change the futures of Canada’s most at-risk kids – those who have experienced abuse, neglect, and abandonment. By helping these young people to overcome their trauma and break the cycle for future generations, they gain the strength and resilience to create a lifetime of their own unstoppable successes.
We are proud of our staff for their endless determination to make a difference in our communities.
