Toronto under Construction

Construction is ramping up in downtown TorontoThe city has the most cranes not just in Canada, but in North America, according to a recent article from blogTO.  As of RLB’s July 2019 Crane Index, Toronto has 120 cranes for both residential and mixed-used projects which is up from 104 in January

“The spring season has seen an increase in cranes in Toronto’s downtown; however, most development is happening outside the core area,” the report states.

Currently, residential and mixed-use projects command the local construction market; in the future, increased infrastructure spending is anticipated to trigger additional activity.”

With the 6ix being the fastest-growing city in Canada and the U.S., its not surprising that it has the most cranes in use. Seattle and Los Angeles are right behind Toronto with them 49 cranes each, followed by Calgary with 34 cranes.
