The plane pull took place at the UPS Customer Centre in Calgary, Alberta, where the team worked together to pull a 200,000-pound plane 50 feet across the tarmac. The event aims to create positive change and help solve city’s #UNIGNORABLE issues.

And what a close race it was! The team came in 28th place out of 45 teams. Their time of 31.88 was only 4.6 seconds off, just shy of 4th place. The fastest pull time was CNRL at 22.75 seconds.

The team came in 2nd place for fundraising, raising a total of $7,342.84. ARA’s very own Survey Manager, Michael Kirk was the awarded the Top Individual Fundraiser, raising $4,500.

It was an exciting and rewarding day for the OEL Projects Optimists team, who were thankful for their friends and colleagues who came out to support them!
