Feds Dump Asbestos

Asbestos According to a report by CBC, the Federal Government has banned asbestos use in new construction and renovation projects at buildings it operates. As late as February 2016, asbestos containing materials were still being used in new construction of federal buildings in Canada. The new policy took effect on April 1st, 2016 and places Canada along side Australia, New Zealand and all 28 members of the European Unions who have asbestos bans in place.
