Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Drafting Survey Technician to work in our Ottawa (Carp) office. The first 6 months – 1 year, the role will be in our Perth office for on the job training. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Preparing maps and drawings from survey field data;

Surveying data processing and calculations;

Generating boundary surveys, surveyors real property reports, topographic surveys, reference plans, strata reference plans, subdivision plans, condominium plans, subdivision design and plotting;

Interpreting standards from regulatory bodies; and

Implementing corporate CAD standards and working with team members to increase utilization of CAD functionality.


Completion of college diploma as a survey technician, architecture technician or civil engineering technology;

Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience, but on the job training will be provided;

Sound knowledge of basic math;

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office programs is considered an asset;

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;

Detail-oriented with an ability to think through problems creatively;

Ability to work effectively as part of a team; and

Possess a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
