The firm has the ability to deliver a project through its full life cycle from needs assessment, planning, design, contract oversight, performance evaluation to completion. This ability provides us with the flexibility to offer bundles of quality services tailored to suit client’s contract delivery and oversight needs.
McIntosh Perry is continually adapting to the changing contractual environment of the day. This ensures that we remain in the position to meet client’s needs and expectations. McIntosh Perry takes this responsibility very seriously in light of the ever growing funding and demographic pressures being experienced in Ontario and beyond. One area of focus is the shift from the traditional method based design-bid-build model, to the performance based design-bid build and design build models currently being introduced by the province of Ontario. This adaptation has been demonstrated by:
- The administration of Ministry of Transportation of Ontario pilot performance based contracts over the past 2 years;
- The administration of Ministry of Transportation 7 year pavement warranty contracts;
- Continuously seeking out and delivering projects utilizing different bundles of our services such as those including the preliminary design, detailed design, procurement, administration and inspection of infrastructure projects and others such as design-build infrastructure projects;
- Continuously seeking out and retaining individuals who have researched, developed, implemented and monitored performance based construction contracts including the associated contract oversight regimes;
- Continuously seeking out more information both in the processes and needs of clients and contractors alike. This is being accomplished by participation on the industry and Ministry of Transportation liaison committees and by fostering dialogue at all levels on a regular basis; and
- Continuing to perform research on national and international innovative contracting models.
